Mendel personality type is INTP, or Introverted, Intuitive, Thinking, Perceiving. As a rule, INTPs are not as social as other types. While they enjoy talking to people, they don’t want to be bothered with the social games so many other types have to play. The INTP has a deep need to use his or her full range of cognitive abilities and independence from others. It is because of this that the INTP often becomes a loner and stays that way because he or she doesn’t like doing things that don’t involve using his or her own independent thought processes.
INTPs may use their Introverted Thinking (Ti) to do their own analysis. They may not like the results and may feel like they are somehow wrong. Because of this, the INTP may continue to question or doubt themselves and their work. This is why the INTP has such a hard time maintaining friendships and relationships. The INTP may dislike the idea of being dependant on others and may not be able to enjoy much in life due to this inability to be dependant on others and to enjoy much in life.
