Shang Tsung personality type is ENTJ, or the “Mastermind.”
Shang Tsung is the only character in the game whose personality type is so definitively established. However, there are hints throughout the game that Shang Tsung has a personality type. He is even seen to have a tic, as he sneezes every time he reads the tattered scroll of his master, Fu-Manchu. He also sneezes whenever he is around Fu-Manchu, which is odd considering Fu-Manchu is dead (he appears to be alive at the end of the game).
We can also see that Shang Tsung takes his job as Master of the Arena very seriously. He gets up early, he takes his work very seriously, and he only makes one small error in the game (he has Fu-Manchu’s face tattooed on his chest). He is also very capable of dealing with his many enemies. He has his enforcers, Mavado and Kintaro, to deal with the enforcers of Quan Chi, Noob Saibot and Sub-Zero. He has Kung Lao and Liu Kang to deal with the enforcers of Cage and Sonya.
Shang Tsung is a fictional character in the Mortal Kombat fighting game franchise by Midway Games and NetherRealm Studios. He debuted as the final boss of the original 1992 game and has remained one of the franchise's primary villains. A powerful sorcerer, he is principally defined by his abilities to shapeshift into other characters and to absorb the souls of defeated warriors. Shang Tsung is usually portrayed as the right-hand man of Outworld emperor Shao Kahn and the archenemy of Shaolin monk Liu Kang. He also appeared as the main villain of Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance, alongside Quan Chi as the eponymous Deadly Alliance, and Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath. The character has appeared in various media outside of the games, including as the main villain of the 1995 film adaptation and the 2021 film. He has received a positive reception for his design, abilities, and role in the series.
