Kūgo Ginjō is a main character in all three parts of Tite Kubo's Bleach and is the strongest and most powerful Soul Reaper in Soul Society. He is a lieutenant and captain of Squad 13 and fights alongside his partner Chad. As a child, he suffered from the death of his mother and was taken in by his father, who trained him to become a Soul Reaper as his own personal weapon against hollows. He later renounces his father and becomes a lieutenant of the Gotei 13 under Captain Mayuri Kurotsuchi.
