Alan Sokal personality type is INTP, because he's the only one who isn't arguing with someone else. He's the only one who is not arguing with a group. He's not arguing with us. He's not arguing with the Democrats. He's not arguing with the Republicans. He's not arguing with anybody. He is writing a paper, and he is not arguing with anybody, and that's an INTP thing. And it's also a bad thing, because he's doing work. And that's another way of looking at it, in a nuanced way, is that he is doing work, and he is not just trying to flatter his own ego.

Alan David Sokal is a professor of mathematics at University College London and professor of physics at New York University. He works in statistical mechanics and combinatorics. He is a critic of postmodernism, and caused the Sokal affair in 1996 when his deliberately nonsensical paper was published by Duke University Press's Social Text. He also works to counter faulty scientific reasoning, as seen with his involvement in criticising the critical positivity ratio concept in positive psychology.
