What is the personality type of Hilary Putnam? Which MBTI personality type best fits? Personality type for Hilary Putnam from Western Philosophy and what is the personality traits.
Hilary Putnam personality type is INTP, and Elliot Rodger was an INTP.
So, this is looking like Elliot Rodger was an INTJ.
I really don't think Oscar Pistorius is an INTP, though.
It seems more likely that he's an INTJ, because he's a really complicated character.
In the interview that I posted, Pistorious said that he was an independent thinker.
That's not the kind of thing a weak-willed INTP would say.
Plus, he said he was a creative artist, and creative artists are usually INTJs.
And I feel like I should have a little bit more data before I make too many judgments about him, but here's a quote from an article about him:
“I’m a big fan of his,” says Paralympian Oscar Pistorius, who says he met the athlete at a track meet in 2011. “He’s a very special person.” Pistorius made headlines last year when he became the first double amputee athlete to compete against able-bodied athletes at the Paralympics in London.
Hilary Whitehall Putnam was an American philosopher, mathematician, and computer scientist, and a major figure in analytic philosophy in the second half of the 20th century. He made significant contributions to philosophy of mind, philosophy of language, philosophy of mathematics, and philosophy of science. Outside philosophy, Putnam contributed to mathematics and computer science. Together with Martin Davis he developed the Davis–Putnam algorithm for the Boolean satisfiability problem and he helped demonstrate the unsolvability of Hilbert's tenth problem. Putnam was known for his willingness to apply equal scrutiny to his own philosophical positions as to those of others, subjecting each position to rigorous analysis until he exposed its flaws. As a result, he acquired a reputation for frequently changing his positions.
