It’s a matter of where we place our primary focus of energy and attention: inside or outside, and if we can’t even choose between two different ways of looking at the world, what does that say about our ability to choose between different life paths? How do we ever hope to live the life of our dreams if we’re not even capable of choosing them?
Now, I don’t mean to discourage anyone from trying to live the life they want to live. I think we can all learn more about ourselves and what we really want out of the world, and the more we do that, the better we can help shape the world we want to live in.
