Esemori is a novelist who wrote the book Spring's Coffin, a book telling the story of a boy and a girl who lived in the same small town as the protagonist (Reiji). The boy and the girl fell in love, but the girl was so gorgeous that everyone in town wanted them apart so they could have a chance with her. The story ends with them both committing double suicide jumping into a part of the local river where it would be later called the lover's abyss.
Esemori's real name is Akira Nozoe. He used to live in that same town he wrote about and that the story takes place after moving from Tokyo. He used to be bullied before he met Yuko Kurose.
