Elle personality type is INTP, and she wrote her book, “The Gifts of Imperfection,” to help people embrace their “imperfect” gifts and not be so critical of them.
“As a type that is constantly analyzing, we tend to be critical of ourselves and others,” she said. “It’s such a shame when we get caught up in perfectionism.”
Bryant said she is constantly critiquing herself and others, though on the other hand, she doesn’t like to nitpick her own writing. She feels the need to rework bits that she thinks are not perfect, but not much can be done about it.
“I guess I do get stuck on some things, and I do nitpick, but I don’t like to do it too much,” she said. “I don’t like to re-do my work because I feel bad about the time I spent on it. I have to let go and let it be what it is.”
She continues to write, though she has a new project in the works that she is excited about.
