Croque personality type is ESTJ, with a secondary ESFJ.
As this is the first time I’ve read it, I’m not totally clear on the psychology of the characters. The ESTJ is very good at logical analysis, theory, and structure; the ESFJ is very good at social analysis (seeing what people are like), people (caring about others), and the arts. His dominant function is probably Ni (introverted intuitive feeling), which is why he likes to work alone; his auxiliary function is Te (introverted thinking), which is what comes out in brainstorming with other people.
His inferior function is Se (extraverted sensation). He’s very good at “seeing” people, but doesn’t really understand his emotions very well. This is why he doesn’t understand why people act the way they do. He gets along with the ESFJ because she helps him see how people feel, which helps him understand his own emotions.
His tertiary function is Ti (extraverted thinking). He’s good at making logical decisions, and really wants to do his best.
