In the "Digimon Adventure" movie, Kunikida's Beast spirit, , is portrayed as a pink-purple dragon-like entity with a shield-like "tail". It first appears to aid Taichi and Agumon against a group of Devidramon and DarkTyrannomon. Later, it is revealed to be the spirit of Chuuemon's father. When Chuuemon's mother dies, his father becomes depressed and neglects his duties as a Warrior for the Deva. The Deva eventually leaves the Digital World and Chuuemon's father takes this as a sign that he has failed his duties and proceeds to commit suicide. Chuuemon's father's spirit then merges with Kunikida and uses his power and ability to heal and protect Chuuemon and Agumon from the effects of . This allows the trio to defeat the Digimon Emperor and restore the Digital World back to normal.
