Christian Wolfgang Lindner (* January 7, 1979 in Wuppertal) is a German politician of the Free Democratic Party (FDP) and since the 7th December 2013 their Federal Chairman. From 2000 to 2009 and again from May 2012 to October 2017 he was a member of the Landtag in North Rhine-Westphalia. From October 2009 to July 2012 Lindner was Member of the German Bundestag, from December 2009 to December 2011 also Secretary General of the Federal FDP. As his party's top candidate in the 2017 Bundestag elections, Linder moved again into the German Bundestag, where he became chairman of the FDP parliamentary group.
