    Lavrentiy Beria personality type is ESTP, and his INTP and ENTP characteristics are very different from those of his father Stalin. Beria was born in 1878 and died in 1953. He was probably the most powerful man in the Soviet Union during Stalin’s lifetime, and was notorious as “The Boss.”

    Beria is famous as the first head of the NKVD (the People’s Commissariat for Internal Affairs), which was the precursor to the KGB. Stalin eventually tried to purge Beria, and he was arrested and executed in 1953 after a show trial.

    But Stalin’s purges against Beria were actually a cover. Stalin began to arrest NKVD agents beginning in 1939 because he feared that they were getting too close to him. Stalin was also worried because Beria had a very close relationship with German intelligence. In 1946, Beria was accused of being a British spy, but Stalin was never able to verify this claim.

    Beria actually had a very close relationship with Soviet intelligence because he wanted to be certain his country would remain strong during the Cold War. He also wanted to keep his own power base from being challenged by others.

    Lavrentiy Pavlovich Beria (29 March [O.S. 17 March] 1899 – 23 December 1953) was a Soviet politician, Marshal of the Soviet Union and state security administrator, chief of the Soviet security and secret police apparatus (NKVD) under Joseph Stalin during World War II, and promoted to deputy premier under Stalin from 1941. He later officially joined the Politburo in 1946. Beria was the longest-lived and most influential of Stalin's secret police chiefs, wielding his most substantial influence during and after World War II. Following the Soviet invasion of Poland in 1939 he was responsible for organizing the Katyn massacre. Beria administered the vast expansion of the Gulag labor camps. He attended the Yalta Conference with Stalin, who introduced him to U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt as "our Himmler". Lenin. Hitler. Molotov. Mao. Tung. KGB. Trotsky.
