    INFJ

    INFJ (5w6)

Leon Trotsky personality type is INFJ, often called the “introverted intuitive,” with the MBTI type of INFJ being an artistic type. So, in addition to his artistic temperament, Trotsky was also extremely intuitive.

This combination of talents (intuitive and artistic) would make him a great writer, but it would also make him very sensitive to the needs of others, especially in matters of administration. He would be very good at organizing people and groups, but he might be overly sensitive to their needs and thus neglect his own. For instance, he might be too focused on the needs of others to write his own memoirs, even though they would certainly be interesting.

Trotsky’s personality would also have made him very effective in an organization that had a need for being “in control” of everyone’s emotions. His own moods could fluctuate wildly, which would make him an excellent leader for a conquering army, but very difficult to control when leading a more peace-loving group of people.

One important feature of this personality style is that it tends to have participants in the group who are of different types than the main organizer.

Leon Trotsky (born Lev Davidovich Bronstein; 7 November [O.S. 26 October] 1879 – 21 August 1940) was a Russian revolutionary, theorist, and Soviet politician. Ideologically a Marxist and a Leninist, he later developed his own version of Marxism, Trotskyism. Initially supporting the Menshevik Internationalists faction within the Russian Social Democratic Labour Party, he joined the Bolsheviks ("majority") just before the 1917 October Revolution, immediately becoming a leader within the Communist Party.
