King Dedede personality type is ESTJ, i.e. he is a master planner, organizer, and builder. His personality type is the natural secondary to his abilities as a captain of industry, who does not make rash decisions, but thinks long-term. He is usually quite confident in his abilities, but is very wary of the unknown, given his history with the Dark Matter Thieves. However, he is also highly-determined, and tends to be confident that everything will work out in the end. He is often quite quick-witted, but he does sometimes let himself get derailed by his own enthusiasm. He is not very good at lying, but can make up excuses on the spot to explain away his behavior or actions. He is usually confident of his ability to get what he wants from others, but can become intimidated by others who are more powerful than he is.[4]
In the English dub, King Dedede's personality has been described as "loud". However, he has been voiced by a number of different voice actors since his debut. In the original Japanese version, he was voiced by a woman who was also a member of the voice acting cast of Kirby: Right Back at Ya!, but her voice was not used in the English dub.
