I've been the same way for the past few years. I was at a big conference with a lot of people from my city and I'd met a lot of people there and we all had our own little cliques. When we got together afterwards it was like we were all strangers; It didn't even feel like we were all related. But because I was there with them at the conference, I assumed they were all my friends. But they weren't. They didn't know each other.
And I thought they were all my friends.
I was so dumb.
I wish someone had told me that sooner.
But maybe it's just me being dumb, too? Who knows?
