What is the best gift you ever received?
My parents. They never bought me anything expensive–it was always their time and energy and effort and love. When I was a kid, my parents bought me a bunch of books, and I’ve loved reading since then. Sometimes it can be hard to remember that there’s still love and respect and gratitude in the world, but as an adult, I’m aware of how many people don’t have those things. When I see the whole world as a place of love and understanding and compassion, I feel really grateful for gifts like these.
What is your favorite physical feature?
My eyes. They look so much like my dad’s and it makes me happy and sad and sometimes I feel like I can see things he can’t.
What is your favorite physical trait?
I don’t know if I have a favorite physical trait… I love how my cheekbones look, though. When I was little, I was teased because my cheeks were so red and freckly.
