The Quantum Slime is not much different than the regular Slime. However, they will eat anything, including other Slimes, and they are more dangerous than their counterparts, as they can eat or explode at any time. They can also eat the player's pet.
The Quantum Slime is a very common boss in the game, appearing in most levels.

"The Quantum Slime is a rare mutation of the normal Slime. Unlike other Slimes, it can eat almost anything (excluding other Slimes), which makes it quite dangerous. They also explode when they are hit, making them even more dangerous. If you find one, make sure to leave it alone. They often live in groups."
Trivia
If the player uses a weapon that deals damage to Slimes, such as the Flamethrower or the Plunger, Quantum Slimes will not take damage.
In the mobile version of the game, Quantum Slimes don't eat each other when they are near each other, but in the Wii version of the game, Quantum Slimes will explode if they are too close to each other.
