ZigZag is a fictional character created by Eustace Bagge and illustrated by Tom Batiuk. ZigZag first appeared in Bagge's comic Gertie the Dinosaur and the book series of the same name. He is a savant who can solve any problem with his multicolored striped socks, which he wears at all times. He has a fear of heights and tries to avoid heights by hiding in closets or in the kitchen when he is in his home. He is also afraid of spiders and snakes, and once had a pet alligator named "Snakes".
