Neal Gamby personality type is ESTJ, and he is the host of The Gamby Show. His best friend is a guy named Adam. On the show, he is constantly complaining about his parents, his friends, and other people. He doesn't like to be disliked, but he does tend to complain about it.
In the book series, he is very much interested in girls, especially in that he is often trying to impress/date them. He isn't very good at making friends, as he often gets upset when they don't like him. He is also very much interested in baseball and sports in general, and his dream job is to be a sports broadcaster. He doesn't want to be a teacher or a cop, and his favorite sport is baseball. He also feels that he isn't good enough to be a police officer or a soldier. In the later books, he has gotten over his fear of heights and has worked up the courage to propose to his girlfriend.
In the TV series, he is a lot more laid-back and less "bitter" than him in the books. He is also very talkative, and he often talks about baseball. He tends to make more jokes than in the book series.
