Sterling Sharpe personality type is ESTJ, and he was an INTJ in the novels. He was a very complex dude. I always thought of him as an INTJ and INTJ to me was a more defined personality type. So I think you're correct, but I'd like to clarify that I don't mean INTJ is a more defined personality type, just that it's more defined to me -- a lot of people say INTJ and ESTJ are the same type, but I don't think so.
I think you're correct about his "tragic flaw". When he was younger, he just had this drive to be perfect -- he wanted to be the best at all things, and he strived to make himself the best. He trained really hard and had a lot of drive, but he never seemed to succeed. When it came down to it, he was always just mediocre at everything he did -- he wasn't good at sports, not good at school, not good at his job, not good at his relationships. He never succeeded in any of those areas because deep down he thought that they were beneath him.
