Cat Lady personality type is INFP, and that made it difficult to deal with her. The reason I am writing this is to help people who are dealing with people like my mother. Someone who is not only coming from a place of love but also of guilt. Someone who is very confused about what they should do. Someone who has been hurt so bad by her own mother that she can no longer see how her mother is different from the people she has been betrayed by. She doesn't understand what she is doing wrong. She doesn't understand why she can't get on with her life. She doesn't understand that what she is doing is completely self destructive and that it will stop her from experiencing a normal, healthy relationship with a man in the future.
I have had to go through a lot of therapy to deal with some of these issues, and I have some things that have helped me deal with my mother.
1. Don't be afraid to get angry or to express your anger. It is one thing if someone is angry at you for something you did, but it is another thing entirely if you are being angry at them for something they did.
2. Decide not to be a martyr of any kind.
