Tomsk (Central Siberian Republic) personality type is INTP, not INFP. As I have said before, the classification system I use is based entirely on my own research, and is not based on the DSM-IV. The personality type of the Tomsk personality is based on my analysis of the personality of the author of the book about him, Maria Vyazemskaya, and her description of her father's personality. It is entirely based on her comments, not on any other source. The idea that this was based on a typology was first put forward in a paper by A. N. Vygodsky and S. A. Gurova published in 1992. It is also significant that the personality of the "man" who is supposedly identical to Ivan Vyazemsky (the man who created the manuscript) has the same main characteristics as the Tomsk personality.
Ivan Vyazemsky was a Russian nobleman, who was a personal friend of Peter the Great, and who was a member of his court. He was also a military officer and one of his duties was to accompany Peter on his military campaigns, including his 17th and 18th expeditions to Siberia (1716 and 1718).
