Hank Hall "Hawk" personality type is ISTP, but that is a story for another day.
To be clear, I'm not saying ISTPs are "bad" or "negative," but I do think there are some ISTP characteristics that are not so great. Don't get me wrong, I love ISTPs I've met, and most of my ISTP friends are pretty cool people. But, ISTPs have a few quirks that can be annoying at times.
1. ISTPs are stubborn and hard to please.
The ISTP personality type has a reputation in the Myers Briggs community as being stubborn and hard to please. And this isn't just coming from an ISTP. This is more of an observation/fact than it is a personal opinion.
Most ISTPs I know are fairly hard headed and don't want to change much about their lives. They don't like to be told what to do, and they don't like to change the things that they feel are "right."
2. ISTPs tend to be reluctant to get close to others.
ISTPs are typically cautious in how they open up to other people. They don't want to be rejected or hurt, so they tend to avoid getting close to others.
