Ms Asiedu said her husband was an adrenaline junky and liked to push himself.
"I am an introvert," she said. "I love nature and I am also happy in a quiet place. He is very adventurous."
The couple are fans of wildlife and said they were pleased to have seen elephants, lions, giraffes and rhinos during their trip.
