I had this feeling this morning and it reminded me of the last time we had the Barcelona board meeting. They did a big presentation and we did not know what to expect. Then they started and it did not look good, they looked very stressed out and the presentation was all over the place. But at some point they stopped and talked about how they were feeling and it was very, very short and simple: “We feel like we are the best team in the world and we know we can win”. And that was all they needed to say to give us the confidence to go on with the meeting.
They also prepared for the meeting well. They had prepared their presentation, they knew what to expect and the only thing they had to do was to present themselves well to us.
A few weeks ago I had a similar sensation with the Spanish national team. After the game against Bosnia we had a meeting with the media to explain what happened and what we were doing to improve. I was well prepared to talk about the game, but I got very nervous and I was shaking, so I had to focus on what I was saying.

During his first tenure as President of FC Barcelona, they set a new record for trophies won in a 12 month period, winning six in 2009.
He was re-elected in 2021 as the President of the club for the second time.
