Traits of the ESTP personality type

ESTPs are always on the go, latching onto new ideas and trends with lightning speed. They are also the type who are some of the most outgoing, friendly people you can meet. On the inside, however, they are very cautious, often afraid of what others might think.

They are usually very good at finding new things to do and excel at anything that requires rapid decision making. They can also be quite spontaneous and sometimes don’t plan things ahead.

ESTPs are very playful people, too. They are sometimes very outgoing, but are not afraid to sit back, relax, and analyze their day with a good book or movie. ESTPs are easy to approach physically, especially with their easygoing nature. They are also very resilient, able to bounce back quickly from any kind of setback.

They are often very good at expressing their feelings and emotions. They may even go so far as to be dramatic, but their emotions are always genuine.

ESTPs have a great sense of humor and are often the life of the party. They tend to be very spontaneous, so they can sometimes be very impulsive.

Malcolm Robert Andrew McLaren (22 January 1946 – 8 April 2010) was an English impresario, visual artist, performer, musician, clothes designer and boutique owner, notable for combining these activities in an inventive and provocative way. He is best known as a promoter and manager of bands the New York Dolls and the Sex Pistols. Brought up unconventionally by his grandmother after his father, Peter, left the family home, McLaren attended a number of British art colleges and adopted the stance of the social rebel in the style of French revolutionaries the Situationists.

With a keen eye for trends, McLaren realised that a new protest style was needed for the 1970s, and largely initiated the punk movement, for which he supplied fashions from the Chelsea boutique SEX, which he operated with girlfriend Vivienne Westwood.
