Vortigern personality type is ENTJ, or the "Mastermind". The ENTJ personality type is the Mastermind, the visionary, the organizer, the planner, the doer. Vortigern's personality is an amalgamation of the ENTJ personality. The ENTJ personality type has a need to be in charge, to be in control, to be seen as the one making the final decisions. This is why Vortigern was able to so easily arrogate power from his father who was not an ENTJ.
The ENTJ personality type also has a need to plan for the future, to have a vision of how things will eventually play out. Vortigern had the same need. He had a vision of what he believed Britain should be. He worked towards this vision. He had a vision of what he wanted Britain to be, of how it should look, of who would rule it - him being at the top of that chain of command.
