Dr. Markoe personality type is ESTJ, which is the “leader” or “authority” type. I am an introvert and therefore, when I am in front of people, I tend to withdraw and “hunker down” as we like to say! This is a natural response to being in front of people and speaking. I am naturally a very shy person, so I find it very difficult to feel comfortable in front of people.
I have been studying the Myers Briggs type indicator test over the last couple years. I did the test several times before I decided to take it seriously. I did the test at least once a year, sometimes more.
When I first did the Myers Briggs test in 2011, I tested as an INFP. I was working on my degree as a Professional Counselor, and had been trying to figure out what type of counselor I would fit best with. I was also just starting to become interested in reading about personality types and finding out about how we are all wired differently.
I found that I seemed to be most comfortable with being around folks who were like me. People who could understand me as well as I could understand them.
