As a child, Tetsurou was always fascinated by the world of technology. He was persistent and very intelligent, but not very sociable. He thoroughly enjoyed playing with air guns and computers. He would frequently visit his older sister’s computer club, and enjoy playing with them. In primary school, he got on well with his peers, but was on the quiet side. At age ten, he was already very good at hacking on the computer.
When he was a junior high student, a friend gave him a new laptop. He immediately installed a virus programming tool on it, and started to experiment on the computer. A virus was something he was familiar with from his childhood, so he started experimenting on the computer as soon as the school day ended. He didn’t tell his parents or teachers about it, as he felt intimidated by them, and didn’t want them getting angry at him.
The virus program that he had created caused the laptop to crash frequently, and he often had to reboot it.
