Clay personality type is INTP, and I carefully listened to everything he said and responded to it, and responded to it again, just really trying to understand what he wanted and how he wanted it and if I could help him in any way. I could tell he didn't like to use the term "gay" or "queer" he used the term "queer" and "gay" interchangeably and we talked about how we both use those terms and why we felt that way. I then told him that I had a lot of friends who were transgender and that I didn't think it was a choice or that they were trying to be bad people, but rather that having a gender identity that was different from what they were assigned at birth was something that they were born with and that they really couldn't help it and it wasn't a choice and if they were trying to be bad or choose to be bad, then they were doing a horrible job of it because they really couldn't help what they were. We talked about the whole "born this way" argument and we talked about all the different aspects of the "born this way" argument and why we didn't believe that it was true.
