In his teen years, Saburo had a crush on a girl named Maki. The two used to hang out together and he would even buy her clothes from a local store. She ended up developing a crush on him, but he had no idea this was going on.
After she died in a car accident, Saburo would go on to begin experimenting with drugs and alcohol. He was in a bad place in his life and he used drugs to fill the void.
Saburo began to experiment with a lot of different types of drugs. He smoked marijuana when he was in high school, but when he was in college, he started smoking methamphetamines.
Saburo would end up smoking methamphetamines all the time until he finally crashed into a tree. He passed out and never woke up.
He was dead when paramedics arrived on the scene, and they had to pronounce him dead.
Saburo is an amnesiac and the show doesn’t know who he is either.
