Hooper personality type is INTP, and as far as I can tell, they’re not nearly as funny as they are in the books.
In a recent interview, she said that the movie was “very different” from the book, and that the filmmakers had “no interest in making a comedy.”
How different was it? Well, it was apparently 90 minutes shorter.
This is too bad. The book was fun and funny, but at the same time, very sad.
But I guess if you’re making a movie about a cartoon character who has an imaginary friend, you can’t have it be too sad—or at least not be labeled a comedy.
I just hope that the other characters and the stories from the book make it into the movie. I’d hate for it to end up being so different that people say that it’s not even worth watching.
