They will interpret a person's words, actions, and intentions in a way that they don't fully understand, and then they will make judgments and inferences based on these interpretations. The INTP will feel as though they are always being misunderstood.
The INTP will interpret someone's actions as threatening, even if the person was friendly or trying to be helpful. This can result in the INTP feeling as though they are being attacked or misunderstood by others. The INTP may even draw conclusions that the person is a threat to them, and thus the INTP will feel as though the INTP needs to defend themselves. Some INTPs are very easily offended by people they perceive as attacking them - they interpret people as threatening them even when they are not.
