cyborg personality type is INTP, which is one letter away from being an ISTP. I don't think that this is necessarily good evidence, though. It could just as well be that people who are ISTP-ish are just more likely to use this meme than people who are INTP-ish. I'm also not sure how much weight to give to the idea that people who self-identify as ISTP-ish are more likely to think of themselves as cyborgs than people who self-identify as INTP-ish. I've seen this claim made on the Internet, but I haven't seen any actual research on this.
I think that the other evidence that people found was relevant was that ISTPs do tend to be interested in things like science fiction, and I think that this might be an indicator that they consider themselves cyborgs. However, I think that this is probably not a very strong indicator, since I think people who are interested in science fiction are probably heavily influenced by the memes surrounding cyborgs, especially if they have a strong interest in science fiction. We are all heavily influenced by memes, so it's not clear to me how much weight to give this kind of evidence.
