Dana ASMR personality type is ESFJ, and we both have a fair number of female friends in common. Our interests are similar enough to have introduced us, but not so similar that it's uncomfortable.
But when I asked her what she was doing when I first saw her, she didn't know what I was talking about.
She wasn't looking up to see if she'd accidentally walked into someone else's space in the middle of a conversation. She wasn't in the middle of a group in the same room, crafting a response. She wasn't in the middle of a task, not to mention one that involved a lot of volume.
So, if you're not ASMRing when you encounter someone, there are three possibilities:
You're not ASMRing when you encounter someone, visit an ASMR-y website, or watch an ASMR video. This is the most likely possibility. Maybe you're not consciously ASMRing, but you're subconsciously trying to make contact with someone. If this is the case, it's probably because you've been ASMRing for a long time and don't know it.
