Like his character, Mason started out as a pretty lovable, goofy guy. He was always looking for ways to get into trouble and get away with it, and his family was the one constant in his life. He came from a huge family, and even though he’s an only child he still feels like an older brother to his cousins, especially his sister.
It was after his sister got married that he took a trip to visit his family and friends and found himself in a new, different family: the SMP. It was there that he learned to appreciate everyone’s differences and how to get along with everyone. He also grew closer to his cousin Jack.
It was the time spent with the SMP that pushed Mason to start acting on his feelings for Jack. It wasn’t just his feelings for Jack that changed, but Mason’s outlook on life too.
