INTPs are the only type that actually think in terms of three modes of thinking. When a person is “thinking” the third mode, the Thinking process, a person is using a different part of their brain than when they are “feeling” or being intuitive. When a person is “feeling” or being intuitive, they’re using a different part of their brain than when they’re “doing.” But these three modes of thinking are not contradictory. They are all needed to solve problems.
INTPs tend to be the most creative thinkers among the cognitive functions. They have a very hard time being anything other than completely true to themselves, and that makes them somewhat of a pain in the ass for those around them.
