Character arc
Buffy is first introduced to Lorelay Fox at her home where she is investigating for the Mayor of Sunnydale. She is lying on the couch, watching television. When she hears the news about the vampire stirring in Sunnydale, she decides to go to Sunnydale to investigate. She is frightened, however, by the town's appearance, due to the damage caused by the last vampire. She decides to stay at Buffy's house, waiting for her arrival.
Later, she visits Buffy's house, looking for information about vampires. Buffy takes her to school, where they are picked on by other students who are jealous of her. Lorelay is attacked by Tyler, who reveals to her that he has been turned into a vampire by Spike. Spike then bites Lorelay's neck which turns her into a vampire. She kills Tyler and escapes to an abandoned building where she collapses. Buffy comes to her rescue and Willow casts the spell that will restore Lorelay back to normal.
