I was born in 1984 and grew up in a quiet, hardly populated part of the world, in a small town in Dhaka, Bangladesh. I grew up attending a public school which was run by the government and taught mostly in English. I studied several subjects at the school and during my early childhood I was very fond of English language and literature. I started taking part in school competitions and won many awards. The school I was attending was also famous for the number of its alumni who became successful in their careers and became household names.
I guess I was very fortunate to have such a great childhood and I still remember the days fondly even though it was quite a long time ago. But I never thought about my future and I never thought I would be a writer.
Growing up, my family was not wealthy, but we lived decently and we always tried to provide a comfortable life for my parents and my elder sister. We always believed that hard work is the only way to get ahead in life. It was this belief that made me leave home at the age of 18 to start working.
Blaise Pascal (19 June 1623 – 19 August 1662) was a French mathematician, physicist, inventor, writer and Catholic theologian. He was a child prodigy who was educated by his father, a tax collector in Rouen. Pascal's earliest work was in the natural and applied sciences where he made important contributions to the study of fluids, and clarified the concepts of pressure and vacuum by generalising the work of Evangelista Torricelli. Pascal also wrote in defence of the scientific method. In 1642, while still a teenager, he started some pioneering work on calculating machines.
