Abu Al-Alâ Al-Ma'arri Personality Type, MBTI

Abu Al-Alâ Al-Ma'arri personality type is INTP, and this personality type is described by some as the "introverted thinker." Our interpretation of the term "introvert" is different from that of psychologists. Psychology defines introversion as a "personality trait associated with an inclination to withdraw from others, to be less interested in social interactions, and to prefer solitary activities" (p. 8). We define introversion as "a preference for one or more aspects of the environment that are not readily receptive to the influence of others" (p. 3). Many people prefer environments that are relatively simple and uncluttered. They tend to prefer a simple lifestyle and prefer to have things their own way. This is not always easy to do, but it is easy to recognize when you are being influenced by the environment around you.
