Fortunato Antônio Badan Palhares (São Paulo, June 27, 1943), better known only as Badan Palhares, is a Brazilian coroner. He was a researcher at the (UNICAMP) and was famous for acting in the forensic investigation of several crimes, such as the murder of PC Farias and in the identification of the bones found in a mass grave in the Cemetery of Perus, in São Paulo. In the PC Farias case, investigations by coroner Badan Palhares sustained that Suzana Marcolino has killed PC Farias and then committed suicide.
