Craig Venter personality type is INTJ, which means that my interests are primarily intellectual, theoretical, and most importantly, mathematical. I’m also very interested in the physical sciences, particularly chemistry and physics. I love learning about the human body and how it works, and it’s fascinating for me to learn about the ways in which the body interacts with the environment.
Venter’s face is also quite interesting to me, so I came up with this idea of turning him into a 3D printable model. The idea was that if he could be printed into a model that could be worn on a shirt or placed on a shelf, it would act as an awesome conversation piece.
The first step was to find a scan of his face. I found an awesome scan of him on DeviantArt, which had several different versions of his face. I decided to use the one with the most facial hair.
Next I had to decide on what files to use. I started by breaking down his face into individual pieces. I decided to use the same type of mesh that I used for my 3D printed Mario figurine. This particular mesh has lots of holes in the face, which made it perfect for building up his face.
