Ashbie the Aspie girl personality type is INFJ, which I’ve written about before.
And the important thing is, she can read me. She knows what I’m going to say before I say it – and she knows how to react to what I say.
She can read my mind, but she doesn’t have a checklist of what I’m going to say. She doesn’t actually think that she actually knows what I’m going to say. She knows that I’m going to say it now, but she really doesn’t know what it is. That’s the difference between Asperger’s and autism.
So sometimes I have to actually stop and think, “Wait a minute, what did you just say? What’s your reaction going to be? What are you going to do now?” And she does it very well. She’s a very good listener. She’s a very good friend, because she remembers what I tell her.
So it really seems like she has an understanding of what I’m feeling, but she doesn’t have the same kind of checklist that normal people have.
