Yes Chad personality type is ISTP, you are very blunt and "matter of fact" about it. ISTPs are usually good at finding the good in things and making it work for them, but honestly this is usually not great for building relationships because it is difficult for them to understand the feelings of others. ISTPs are also often very blunt about their feelings because they are usually not interested in getting out of their way to make others feel better. Like I said, not the best for relationships.
I am an ESTP, I've noticed that because ESTPs are very energetic and extroverted, they tend to have more of a free spirit. If you are not interested in being with an ESTP because you don't want to be "tied down" then I would say that you should reconsider your relationship with him. Like I said though, this is because I am an ESTP. I know that not all of us are like this, so it's hard for me to really speak for all of the other types.
