Em agosto, o casal foi visto jantando num restaurante no Jardins, acompanhados do apresentador Marcelo de Carvalho e de sua mulher Luciana Gimenez. Dois meses depois, Val declarou para a revista Caras que tinha terminado o namoro por conta de infidelidade.
