On March 28, 2013, Eugen Ponasenkov was awarded his gold medals after the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) ruled that he was not guilty of doping. The CAS found that he had been doped in 1980 and 1984, but had been clean in the 1986 Commonwealth Games.
