Jonathan Brown personality type is INTP, not INTJ. I am convinced that his books are full of blatant fiction.
As for the other two (not the one who said he has depression), they are both INTPs
I think that the people who say that they are depressed are probably INTPs too, but they are trying to make themselves look like INTJ's because they think that if they act like them, they will be respected. I think they are doing this because they are insecure about their own personality type.
But this is not something new. People of all personality types do it. I remember reading about this in my psych book. I think the only people who are real about it are people who have an ENFP personality type or ISFP personality type. They are very secure in themselves and they are very open about their personality type.
There is a lot of psychology behind personality, but most people have no idea how personality really is. It's just something that you are, and it's something that you can see when you look at yourself in the mirror. You can see your personality when you are talking to someone else. And if you are telling the truth, you know your personality when you are around people.

He has authored several books including Slavery and Islam, Misquoting Muhammad: The Challenges and Choices of Interpreting the Prophet’s Legacy, Hadith: Muhammad's Legacy in the Medieval and Modern World, Muhammad: A Very Short Introduction, and The Canonization of al-Bukhari and Muslim. He has also published articles in the fields of Hadith, Islamic law, Salafism, Sufism, and Arabic language.
