    José Gervasio Artigas personality type is INFJ, which is one of the rarest personality types according to the Jungian personality test. Artigas was a Spanish-speaking Colombian who was born near the end of the 18th century and died in 1852. He was a soldier and a legendary figure, known as “El libertador” (the liberator). He started the struggle for independence from Spain and fought against the Spanish colonialists in Uruguay and against the Argentinean army in the battle of Cepeda (1820) and in the battle of Salado (1844). Artigas is considered a symbol of independence and we all know that symbols are very important in history and in our lives.

    I’m not going to write something about the struggle for independence because I believe that everything I want to say is already well known by most people. The great struggle for independence, also known as “The struggle for the nationality”, was a civil war that took place in South America between 1810 and 1840. It was a struggle between three nations: Chile, Bolivia and Paraguay.

    José Gervasio Artigas Arnal (June 19, 1764 – September 23, 1850) was a national hero of Uruguay, sometimes called "the father of Uruguayan nationhood".
