    Louis-Nicolas Davout
    INTJ

    INTJ (1w9)

Louis-Nicolas Davout personality type is INTJ, while Napoleon Bonaparte is INTJ~ The original INTJ, German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche, was in fact a brilliant military genius, one of the greatest generals of all time, and the only one that might have been able to defeat Napoleon Bonaparte. But he met his fate at the hands of an INTJ, a certain Count Alfred de Musset... The power of Napoleon was due to the fact that people would do anything for him, even if he told them to do some immoral or even criminal act. Napoleon's ability to inspire such loyalty to him was a result of his "wraith-like" nature, i.e. his ability to slip into the background and remain unnoticed. He was simply a ghost that had taken the shape of a human, who people thought were a normal human being. The most important thing about Napoleon's appearance is this: he was not able to influence others through his "emotional" self. He was able to influence them through his "intellectual" self, which is the opposite of the INTJ's "intellectual" self. Napoleon's ability to inspire devotion and loyalty is an expression of his cold and ruthless nature.

Louis-Nicolas d'Avout (10 May 1770 – 1 June 1823), better known as Davout, 1st Duke of Auerstaedt, 1st Prince of Eckmühl, was a French military commander and Marshal of the Empire who served during both the French Revolutionary Wars and the Napoleonic Wars. His talent for war, along with his reputation as a stern disciplinarian, earned him the nickname "The Iron Marshal" (Le Maréchal de fer) . He is ranked along with Marshals André Masséna and Jean Lannes as one of Napoleon's finest commanders. His loyalty and obedience to Napoleon were absolute. During his lifetime, Davout's name was commonly spelled Davoust - this spelling appears on the Arc de Triomphe and in much of the correspondence between Napoleon and his generals.
