I got into Myers Briggs because I was fascinated by the idea that there were some people who were naturally good at things and some who were naturally bad at things. I thought it would be fascinating to seek out and identify these people, because I could see the talent in almost everyone who wasn’t me, but I could never seem to find it in myself.
I also thought that the Myers Briggs personality test would be a good tool for identifying the athletic talent in my daughter. She has an amazing ability to move her body well. She is incredibly fast. I have her take the Myers Briggs personality test every year to see if she is becoming more outgoing, more extroverted, or less introverted. It’s always the same result. She’s an INTP, which is identical to my personality type, and she’s a TENTJ, which is very similar to my personality type.
